Dave's Vintage 'Imperial Gas' Garage

This particular trip report has a distinctly local flavor to it. In fact, it takes place in my very own neighborhood, only two city blocks away.

This cool looking garage belongs to Dave Savage whose hobby, as you might have guessed, is restoring vintage rides.

I recently dropped by to talk to Dave which is something that I have always wanted to do each time that I walked or drove by his place. In 2006, Dave moved into the home located on his property and then shortly after proceeded to build the garage from the ground up. Being an avid collector of automotive-related antiques, reproductions and petroliana, he created his own vintage montage which adds a nostalgic flair to both the exterior and interior of the building.

Dave's future plan includes demolishing his house and rebuilding it to mimic the classic appearance of the garage. Kudos to you Dave!
