ALL the same 01-07, ALL P2 wagons are interchangable
I too was looking for the 3rd seat when I bought my xc. Turns out they cost a small fortune installed from the dealer. Used, I've seen them for about 800 bucks on ebay. However, the dealer said it is no small task to install them. It involves cutting new holes in the headliner for the new seat belt anchors. I decided against installing it myself...I hadn't bought a car yet. So I made sure the one I found DID have the seat.
I thought it was all a simple install?
anyone have pics of the after market install?
It takes about 3 hours
simple may be the wrong word. It's not complicated, but it will take a while.
I think the pdf instructions file is on the the website.
You're going to have to put a lock cylinder in the rear tailgate, a door latch and lock in the rear tailgate, seatbelts, anchors, change the plastic trim pieces, floor pieces, floor section and seatbacks, etc. There's a reason the dealer charges so much for the installation...it takes a while.

Not too difficult. There is some cutting of plastic trim, a dremel tool will make this easy. I recall that there were indentations on the back side of the plastic indicating cut locations.
The lock cylinder, inside latch, etc are not required for inspection here. You may want them for safety though.
Erirvovo sold me my third seat kit (no rear lock cylinder, latch, etc.)
what did erie charge for the seat?
We're also interested in adding a third row seat to our 2002 V70 XC. Was the seat from Erie Vo-Vo new? Was the kit complete? How long did it take to install? Was it in stock or did they have to find it for you? Thanks.
