I have sold all my volvo's and have quite a few parts left over from a parts car, service items and some new parts.
I would like to sell it all at once. Ideally if somebody showed up at my door...
My 03 had 187k, I was not worried about the angles. It will weaken your cv joint for sure as it puts the stress on the ends of the joint instead of the middle. to be honest anyone looking to modify...
I have installed the bad Swede lift kit on my 03. I had no alignment issues other than adding camber bolts to the front. I was able to get a full 2". I think anything beyond that is going to require...
See other post.
I am happy to report that i have no leaks from the pump or any other source. Now on to the AWD issue.
Old post I know but did you find the o rings? I gather you were referencing the o ring inside the hub that seals to the cam? I would like to change mine for good measure.
I replaced the pcv system before i dove into the oil leak issue. i think i will take Astro's advice and clean it up with new seals and gasket .
i have the cam seals so i am full in!
I took a look at some online stores pictures of oil pumps and they seem to have the same casting marks. We will see what happens.
I have an 07' xc70 2.5 turbo with 105,000 miles.I have a leak that leaves a pop can size oil leak under the crank pully are every time i move it. i knew about the leak when i bought it back i...
If all it needs is a transmission, I would fix it. miles and condition will be the factors in my book for repair. But I have been known to over fix a car.
Is the harness intact? you could try a jump box on the under hood jump post.
I have a factory Volvo trailer hitch off of an 03' XC70 in good useable shape. I have the harness and mounting hardware for it too. $155 plus shipping or free pick up! S/E Mi. area
When i changed the pcv system on my daughters car the old banjo bolt had a check valve, but the new banjo bolt had a different style.
Why not just buy an old Ford pick up truck and keep the Volvos's?
I think most instrument cluster repair shops are able to set the correct, or incorrect miles. In my state getting caught playing the numbers requires some time in the klink.
How about the facia drains, are the holes plugged with leaves and debrisi?
To get to the lower torx on the thermostat housing, i used a 1/4"swivel on an extension with a 1/4" socket then inserted the torx bit in the socket. A wrap of tape will hold it in place. worked for...
I forgot to mention, i believe the new style tensioner sits about 1/4" out from the block compared to the old style.
I think the brake was at engine #3188688= older tensioner (short) to verify check the number on the back of the block above water pump behind the plastic for the rear timing cover. I can see why they...
What are folks using for the trans pan gasket/sealant? I read a thread where red silicone was used. I see that Volvo has a bubble gum colored sealant not quite like silicone. I have a pan to install...
When i checked the oil after 5k miles it was down 1 1/2 quarts. the leakage behind the timing cover can't be more than a half a teaspoon. nothing is saturated and the only oil on belt is on the...
I just completed a pcv system on my daughters car. I had planned a timing belt and cam seal replacement also. I noticed some light oil residue on the hub and inside timing cover. Is this from the...
I just completed a lower control arm bushing replacement job. Never again, even if it is cheaper you will burn that up in your labor. I will buy complete assemblies next time.
I was able to use a 3'...
I parted an 03' with tan ( Beige) interior. i will see if i have it still.
I think i got it. i took it back off and moved the crank backwards one tooth. After i did the 270 degree rotation i checked it again. It was clearly one tooth too far. i put it back to the original...
