Long story short - my XC70 recently had a close encounter (not a collision!) with a fire hydrant, resulting in the passenger cabin floor getting flooded with 3-4 inches of water....

I too have just had a 'bulb failure position light'. It appears to be in the cluster of tail lights (in my case, driver's side). Due for service tomorrow, 22500 miles...

Follow-up: I definietly have a leak in the PS line, at the point where the (apparently defective) clamp connects to the reservoir. I topped up the reservoir, but obviously this isn't a long-term fix....

My experience was not so dramatic. Several days after taking posession of my car in the US (following overseas delivery), I noticed a small (~2mm) incision in the driver's seat leather....

Best tip: Overseas Delivery (OSD). I found XC70.com on the morning that I was heading to the dealership to buy my new XC70; thanks to the advice here, I ended up taking a great trip to Sweden instead...

Every 7500 miles whether it needs it or not... :)

yep, I too am a victim of Rubber Strip Detachment. The shop glued it back at my first scheduled maintenance: it soon came unglued again. I am now cheerfully ignoring it.
