How long has the engine run to warm up? Fuel injector noise? I find on cooler days the noise is evident at first, but once the engine has thoroughly warmed up it's gone.

I agree - at this point buying gasoline without ethanol seems to be unavoidable. The 2004 owners manual states:

It doesn't matter which way you turn it. The nozzle is pressed into a brass tube which is just friction fit into rubber or plastic, enough friction to prevent water leaks. Turning the nozzle will...
Bruce,
I agree this is a great forum! To answer your questions:

This was easy and not at all expensive! Total time about 15 minutes. Part #2 was Volvo #30634270 (2004 XC70) and only $10.22 Cdn. at the dealer! Here's what I did:
1. As per the original...

But the passenger side blade is curved, do the straight replacements work just as well?
Harold.
The passenger side wiper blade has a curvature to fit the windshield. Are people just replacing it with straight aftermarket blades or are you sliding out the refills and swapping them?
Thanks,

Anyone ever installed a Roady XT in a 2004 XC70? I'm at a loss to find a spot that looks somewhat integrated, don't want to do the vent mount (besides it doesn't seem to clip on). What kind of mounts...
According to my 2004 XC70 Brochure the trim was only available in two colours:

Glad to hear that something on the Volvo only requires normal efforts to repair [happy].
Did you figure out what the "major leak" of reddish fluid was? You had mentioned this in a previous post....
Where did yours break? Mine broke at the original glue/thermal joints and I was able to repair it with ABS cement without any disassembly.
Harold.
I have a 2004 XC70 in Ontario. The Ford website link worked for me. I've had the car, new, since June 2003 and there have any been two "recall" bulletins from Volvo. 1. The vacuum hose routing...
I believe in the DRL position the taillights are off and the headlights may be slightly dimmer than full on. Obviously, in the full on position the taillights are on as well as the headlights.

Here's my guess: Sounds like you might have a short on the plus side of the circuit? Power applied to the washer leaks to the plus side of the speaker and causes the noise as it goes through the...

MoeB, you've got the right console, but the '04 version seems bigger than yours. In the photo below, you can see the rectangular bulge between the lights and switches that CrazyCanuck is referring...
