Is the AC working correctly now? My fan would run on high and sounded like a jet and found out it had a small freon leak as it was low on freon. Yours may be just not coming on?

I have one in my 2006 and it fit without issues. Are you putting int in backwards?

Do the rears have the same spring on the outside of the caliper? Kiwirst says he did the rears and I thought those were different. Anyone have a rear brake issue and cause a shudder?

An older Volvo with those miles and a cheap price tag will most likely take your lunch in the end. They do look appealing though. It would have to have perfect maintenance history records for you to...
OK, so now I am confused as to what fuel I should really run in the XC. I have been just putting in the 91 octane since it has only been around $2.59 and I read that all turbos should use premium...
Bet that Buick has the 3.8L.

Aren't Volvo's the best, they fix themselves.

Very interesting, I have used both and have not seen any issues with either. I will after reading that change to just plain old softened tap water.

This thread may help you if you have not figured it out already.

Ha-ha, talk about going full circle. Going from complete engine swap to a spark plug. Have never heard of that before, glad you figured it out and solved the issue.

Aussie70, any pictures? I am in the same situation and am tiered of purchasing vehicles with ONLY one key. This is my third in a row.

Check out your AWD first would be my thoughts. Find out where it leaked out, fix it, fill it back up and do a check for AWD. That will tell you what you need to do next.
TomK
Looks like you got to it in time before major leaks started. Your little birdie in your head payed off.

Ha-ha, I just spent about 30 minutes reading through that link with the graphs on oil and all I really needed to read was the last paragraph, brilliant information. Now I am even more clear as to why...
I did not know a transmission had a "balvebosy". Where is that located?
I agree vtl, lots of highway driving and a change of fluid is at least worth a try.
TomK
WOW WEE, 310,000 miles on any transmission and it owes you nothing if you have never maintained it. That is incredible. Not sure how to advise on that one other than maybe have it looked at by...
And there has to be something with the Euro formula that works well for these engines. Mine has about 156,000 miles with the M1 0W40 and with a change interval of 8-10,000 miles it uses none that I...
I would assume he is referring to an internal fluid leak due to installing a cooler that gives the ATX the wrong pressure. I have installed an external cooler to every car I have owned that has had...
I think I only had the ABS light on but not sure as I either read to many forums on both the lights since that is the norm or I only had the one and took the chance and just tried replacing the part....
Yes, found one from a used salvage online company selling one on ebay for around $50 with the same part number. Was extremely easy to swap out and have not had an issue since. I only had the ABS...
If the noise you are hearing is a buzzing from the front drivers side it is you brake booster pump building vacuum which is normal unless it is always on.

I changed mine out (2006 XC70) with a unit I bought on ebay without problems and no need to program. Harbor Freight has the female torx bits you will need.
TomK
There should be plenty if you google it. ebay also has many images of the tailgate as the V70 is different than the XC70 if that is what you are looking for.
TomK
Exactly, there is a reason the person who removed what they removed and did not just repair the AWD system. You may be in for more than it is worth since you could buy one with a working AWD for less...
I believe this is the one I installed, Hayden 1405.
