Ok I bought the replacement ETM XeMODeX, took about two hours to install. Patience will be need to install it. But the car started up and runs great. No more issues related to the ETM.

As you see city driving the average is 15-17 mpg. I go up to Maine several times a year and I get 26 - 29 on the wighway doing 70 - 75 mph. Thats with my 00 XC.

Take your VIN# and call you're local Volvo dealer, ask if there are any open recalls. They will tell you what year it is. Or give your VIN to IPD they can also tell you.

Here check this out. If you decide to go this route use ALL the lube that they give you. If you don't you'll be sorry. Squeaks alot.

If thats all you have left I'd try a Q-tip with rubbing alcohol. The alcohol won't hurt paint or the finish. When it dries it leaves no residue. [thumbup]
