I had power at the fuse panel for the DIM and followed the wiring back to a module that had a bunch of relays. I don't know if it was the CEM or not. I found a bad relay by wiggling them...
Just an update, the problem ended up being a relay to the right of the fuse panel on the drivers side
Had been having intermittent function from both dim and HVAC. Sometimes would only take a second from starting the car until they came back up. Drove home today and they never came back up. I...
Crazy, even for low mileage.
12.2 is too low. What was the voltage with it running? Should be around 14 volts.
Assuming the battery isn't bad, wiggle the wire for the starter solenoid. Sometimes they get corroded and don't make a good connection.
"hard pull to the left when I apply the brake"
I had a hard pull to the left when I had a bad rear bushing in a control arm. Just another possibility.
Does it come on if the AC is on? I'm not sure if there's a fuse for the ECM that controls the fan.
If you still have the old fan plug it back in and see if it comes on. If it does then you know the main power is good, and the only other issue is if it's not getting a signal to turn on. Always a...
The shift button is able to be pried out without too much effort. Local junkyard is a good place to look. or...
You should be able to just swap the leather seat cover. Just undo all the hog rings
Top of transmission, looks like a large 5 sided bolt.
Depends on gow would you describe a wiggle? If guess worn front axles if it's under acceleration.
How did you flush the fluid? Gibbons method, or just drain and fill? The transtune does work on varnish to a degree.
I agree with astro14, the intake system is probably full of oil still.
Change the cylinder that the #5 coil is on when reinstalling. See if the misfire follows it.
Was the oil just burning past the turbo, or was it making it way through your intake system? Pull that #5 plug and take a look at its condition.
You should be able to pull off the inlet to the turbo and feel for shaft play in the turbine itself. You'll be able to see if it's leaking in the oil out of seals as well.
If you pull the boot on brake pedal shaft back, you'll see a while tube. I had the same whistle air leak and lubricated the outside of the tube with silicone grease which took care of it. ...
I've also had an alternator that would charge until it got hot. When first started it'd charge, but 15 minutes later it wouldn't.
Did you check the battery voltage with a meter? That'd tell you if your battery is getting charged.
I think that is what I was referring to. I just need to find a new one. Thanks for the info.
Just went thru this same thing last night, but I was getting 5 codes instead of 3. Searched the net and found that there is a sensor in the air intake hose right before the turbo where the pcv lines...
Good write up. Hopefully there wasn't any damage from the low oil pressure.
