One cause (which I had on my 1996 960 volvo) was vacuum leak on 2 hoses. It might be good idea to check them to make sure no leak. Or MAF unit is stuck open.

It is more likely you have a vacuum leak somewhere in the engine. Or your MAF unit is malfunctioning. I would advise you to inspect each rubber hose going in or out of the engine block.

I live in CA, where the weather in mild. The manual recommends to use 10-30 grade for our region. I think the 5-30 is more suitable for states like Nevada, or death...

I plan to use the Mobil 1 Extended Performance Oil, in my 2005 XC90 AWD.
Since Mobil 1 guarrantiees 15,000 performance before the next oil change. It could be possible to change oil every 15,000....

I just got my wife's 2005 XC90 (5 cylinder AWD), with 28K miles on it. Today I had the oil & filter changed at nearby gas station. (Brough my own 10-30 Mobil 1 oil and filter).

I just got my 2005 XC90 2.5T AWD. Drove it with 4 passengers on the streets of san francisco. Had no problem climing the steep hills, nor passing other cars on the freeway.
