Right rear broke a month ago, at 72k miles on my '07
I'm in the US in MD. Hadn't focused on him being in Canada. Thanks for pointing out...
Folks,
I never got around to purchasing an extended warranty when the car was new (2007); I was skint in those days. I've heard of being able to buy one from Volvo before the factory warranty...
ElVee--qhat have you ended up doing? Were you able to find a reasonable extended warranty program?
Boogs, can you share some details on your extended warranty? Who offers it/cost/deductibles/how many years and miles is it limited to etc? Thanks

In the DC area, a 7 year/100k extended warranty on the 07 runs from US$2400 w/ a 200 deductible to US$3500 with a 0 deductible
Gold--what winter wipers did you use? tx
Rustpot, Sorry to see that--a real bummer. Good luck--let us know how fixable this is.
And I've been using premium. This is looking worse and worse!
Any thoughts on what else I can ask the dealer to look at? (someone suggested rich mixture). Early conversation elicited the--'this...
TGW--thanks--It does seem very low--my 03 V70 AWD used to get around 26 on highway trips. Even allowing for 4 years of 'evolution', a higher ride height, different tires, the sub-20 highway mileage...
China,
I've had the problem twice on my 07. My dealer tells me that I need to run the tires inflated at 40-42 psi. to avoid this problem. Note also that the TPMS flags differentials between the...
Its not offered. Try looking over at Swedespeed.com--there's been a more vigorous discussion of the new XC70 there and I seem to recall some discussion on this subject there. Wagon wise, I think...
As they say, your mileage might vary. Just returned from a 500m RT DC-NYC-DC. Our real world mileage was 19.8mpg. This was all highway at 65-80, plus just the ins and outs of NYC (which was not...
Drove one in late August. Just a bit heavy to feel really zippy, but handles real well and is fun to drive. The fit and finish of the interior was better than had appeared in pictures (eg cloth...
Depending upon how long the move takes, they sometimes recommend over-inflating the tires so that a flat spot does not form from the car being tied down. Unlikely to be necessary for a cross...
Just curious--why did you settle on 14 as being the number of layers?
Much of this thread has focussed on how to renew the cladding, which was helpful.
However, was just wondering if anyone has experience as to whether the use of the wax option in auto car washes...
Re the need for the keyed lock--I guess it depends upon how old the kids are and your concern about their ability to open the rear hatch from inside in case of electrical/other failure when the locks...
Does it last long? How long does it take before the bumpers get discoloured again? thanks
Folks,
Am thinking about getting an extended warranty for my MY 07 XC70 (just purchased). DC area quote from my dealer (Martens) for 7 years/85,000 miles is 0 deductible $3,186, $50 deductible...
Steve--are they going to retrofit the lock cylinder in your car? If so, can you check whether you have a rubber plug or just metal to the right of the license plate lights (where the lock cylinder...
Folks,
Have searched through the forum and found some useful discussions on how to get discoloured bumpers looking good again. Curious about a few things--how widespread is the problem of the...
Thanks all, that's what I've been able to find out as well as being the purpose. My rear hatch does not have a rubber plug, just a slight indentation in the metal, to the right of the license plate...
Could someone clarify please where/what is the 'lock set' that is supposed to be installed when one has the third row seats installed? thanks
