Thanks Hoonk for the diagrams.
The side markers I'm referring to are the ones forward of the front door.
I found a similar thread on Mathews. Fuse #22 was blown in the fuse box on the drivers...
I replaced the turn signal stalk but it did not solve the problem. Checked all bulbs, no defective bulbs. When brake is applied, the lights below the mirrors light(side markers). ? The right turn...
In clarification; It's the left front turn signal that goes on with the brake pedal. JRL-- There are some threads that suggest removing possible tarnish off of the contact pads on the small circuit...
Thanks for the quick reply JRL and Astro. Beautifully done guide. Is the stalk responsible for re-directing the brake current to the turn signal lamp? Would the cleaning procedure be of any help...
My turn signal indicator clicks real fast and I get an advisory that I have a left turn bulb out. When I look at the bulbs, none are flashing. When I press the brake, the left bulb lights steadily....

I like the precaution explanation. It sort of idiot proof the process.
I watched the video and was surprised to see that he had the key in the ignition and in what appears to be, positon II. Any thoughts?
Can someone elaborate as to what is an Ets?
Can someone post how a good strut mount should look?
I looked at the clutch but the space is too cramped to get the camera into the space to take the picture eventhough it was a very thin camera. The procedure isn't complicated and it becomes evident...

I'll take of picture of the clutch tomorrow and if it shows well, I'll post here. I used gift card plastic which I tought was more durable. It's been a month or so and it is still holding up.
Or, you could try what was done in this thread by many owners http://www.volvoxc.com/forums/showthread.php?21375-01-V70XC-AC-cuts-out-while-driving If this paste of a thread does not work, then...
I would highly recommend bowrowing the axle remover from AutoZone. It's free to use with a deposit. Don't forget to remove the retainer holding the mid axle bearing.
I had the same symtoms with my A/C a few weeks ago and remembered a previous post about adjusting the A/c clutch gap. A search on google took me to Mathew's Volvo site with a proceedure for...
Installed my set of Acsend that I ordered from TireRack at $103 each + the ride. First impression of these tires is quite favorable. They are quiet and track very well. I chose this tire for its H...
TireRack lists this new tire from Yokohama and was looking for any member experience with this tire. I am considering a set of 16 inch for my 02 V70XC.
Thanks!
I've had the same experience as ExCee70 going uphill on 87 octane. When using 93, my 172K mile 02 doesn't display the problem. Using 87 or 93 doesn't seem to change my 23 mpg with a moderate amount...
I had suggested swapping the seals because as you said, the Volvo cap is better made. The original Volvo cap had the teather which none of the generic caps had.
Let us know if swapping the seals...
When my check engine light signaled an evaporative problem, I got a replacement cap at AutoZone and swapped the "o" ring on the caps. It took about three days for the check engine light to...
Ditto on the bearings fom Detroit. I ordered two rear bearings for my 02 XC on the 7th and received them on Monday the 12th. Same experience on the fit and ride. I got mine from Ebay which...
I have an 02 and my cup holder stayed out and behaved like yours did. I kept pushing it in and would pop right out. One day I pushed it in and it stayed in. It has been working properly since. ...
