Hello folks, what's going on here? The bolt is tight.

That looks like one of your transmission fluid lines. The other end probably connects to your transmission cooler. I took that line off (10mm bolt?) several times when trying to fix my tranny. If memory serves, there's a small rubber washer that fits on the end of the tube when you insert it into the transmission case. If that washer wears out, you could get leaks.
Have you or anyone recently removed and re-installed that line? Or maybe something bumped into it somehow? I don't know if after years of having a good tight seal it could start leaking but maybe so.
Yep. ATF cooler line. There’s a small o-ring there. O-rings get old, and shrink, crack, or whatever, then leak.
So, clean the area, pull the line out, replace the o-ring. It’s probably a .25 part, but Volvo will charge you about $4.00 for it. I would pay that just to know I had the right size part.
Hello folks, am struggling to find which ring it is. All am finding are for the cooling, at the radiator. Any help on which ring is at the transmission. Please.
Thanks.
I believe that it is the same size as the cooler line o-rings.
Might be worth stopping by Volvo and chatting with the parts folks, or, if you've got a second car, easy enough to take this one out, put a plug in place to stop the fluid loss, and take it down to match it up.
Got the ring ($3.51) from the dealer and replaced it.
For some reason, I decided to check the fluid level since the leak has been since a little after the transmission rebuilt. Considering the period, every little bit adds up to a good amount fluid lost. Though when replacing the ring, about half a cup of fluid may have been lost. When checking the dip stick, it was really very low. Yes, I was careless in this area, I take full responsibility for such carelessness. I mean, the oil is at the tip of the dip stick. I was so mad with myself. The car has been running very smoothly with respect to the automatic gear changes.
Since there's not much oil in the transmission, I decided to drain/flush whatever is in there.
1. Would you suggest I only use Volvo make transmission fluid?
2. Would you have an instruction link you would recommend for me to use?
Cheers
Based on the recommendations from this forum I’ve been using Toyota IV fluid for my XC70 for nearly 50K miles now. It’s literally the same stuff rebranded, working great, and much cheaper. I picked mine up from a Toyota dealership.
I’m actually getting ready to do my next flush this weekend. If you haven’t done it before a google search for “Gibbons Method Transmission flush” is your friend.

Toyota T-IV is a good choice. I’ve used it for awhile. I get a discount for a case.
I’ve also used AMSOIL and Valvoline import multi vehicle (not max life, the import) with success. The important thing is that the fluid meet JWS-3309, which is what this transmission needs.
Frequent fluid changes help with longevity. Highly recommend them.
