2001 V70 XC Angle gear and rear differential fill
After doing much research I am unable to find the answer to my question and I'm hoping someone here has the answer. It appears that my 2001 is a special breed of Volvo and it's hard to find the exact information I need . Looking at many excellent videos on changing fluid on the front angle gear and rear differential is different depending on the model year. I see on a 2000 you fill both units until the fluid starts to flow out and than close it up. On a 2003 you fill and than back fluid out 100/160 ml respectively? The 4 wheel drive system is different on a 2001/2002 model and am wondering which is correct for my 2001. Also I believe I read somewhere last year that there is a Volvo fix for "venting" the rear differential to keep the pressure from building and than forcing fluid out the seals ? Any help with this for my beloved XC would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help...
