Interior Light MalFunctions

This is a real head scratch er... I hope someone has some answers. I have a 1999 V70 XC with about 149K miles. I just had some intake work done, and now my car's idle is a lot smoother. However, today I went to drive it and suddenly the interior lights on the doors won't go out when the doors are shut. Adding to my frustration, I hit the auto door lock on the driver's side and it just kept popping open. Finally it locked the doors after driving several miles.

My question is "why" do my dome lights and door lights malfunction? Very odd. Are they interconnected and related to the auto door lock mechanism somehow? I hope someone can answer this. I don't want to come out to a dead battery.http://www.volvoxc.com/forums/images/smilies/mad2.gif
