Volvo stops "R" line

2007 is the last model year for R models. According to director Fredrik Arp, Volvo doesn't want to participate in the HP race.

Too bad for everybody who was hoping for an XC70R...

not really.......if you want a sports car, there are tons of them out there..........an XC is not meant to have 300+hp........it reduces the driveability in conditions the XC was designed for in the 1st place.........

I agree that it's a shame. I always wanted the T engine in any of my 3. Never had a car with too much power.

Too bad for everybody who was hoping for an XC70R...

One can always make their own XC70R like REDDIZ and me. :D
