to all forum members ! thanks for your input. After a year of carefull reading and trust me I wneet throught most of the threads !!! (Way long !!! http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/happy.gif ) but glad about all the info I found. Really helped me make my choice and set of options !!!

In any case, besides telling you the usual "What a car " I had one question for those who have the Homelink control. Has anyone been able to program it with a garage door opener with rolling codes. I went toh the Homelink web site but their steps do not work. Does any one have any ideas ?

Your help is greatly appreciated http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif

Thanks

Chris

Congrats Chris!

Let us all know how you like your car, and tell us of any problems you find. I, like you were three months ago (if you ordered yours) will be ordering mine in about 3 weeks. I am still reading vigorously trying to decide what to order and what to avoid.

Enjoy your new car.

Respectfully,

I got my Homelink to work. Following the directions in the back of the Volvo owners manual for the rolling code option. You will then need to reference your garage door manual to find out the "memeroy" button to punch. I have two Genie openers and there is a button to push under the cover. Once you hit this button the light flashes, you then hit the number on the Homelink (in your visor). Like the Volvo manual said, I had to hit the button 2-3 times in order for it to work... Works great, better distance than the provided remotes.....

Read and follow directions carefully. I was starting the car rather then just turning the key to the acc position and it wouldn't work. Have to follow 100% and it will work.

I found that in order to get thew homelink to program the rolling codes from both my openers I had to:
1) Clear the memory (I think you hold down two codes or something...don't remember exactly but it was in the instructions.)
2) Follow the instructions for the non-rolling codes -- this will obviously not work
3) Follow instructions for rolling code openers (but don't repeat step 1 before doing this)

Repeat steps 2 and 3 for additional openers

Seemed weird but I couldn't get mine to work just going from step 1 to step 3...

I simply pressed a button on my garage door unit, a light appeared, I ran to the car and pressed and held one of the homelink buttons http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/laugh.gif

I go lucky http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif
