Finally finished installation of the iMIV in my XC 70. Having Sat Prep made the installation relatively easy. I took the existing MelBus cable from the Sat prep in the L. rear compartment and attached it to the iMIV and connected the power supply from the fuse panel in rear and ground wire behind the battery. I ran the IPod cable under the carpet(rear seat is easy to remove) and it exited from the carpet under the rear part of the center console. I had to create an opening in the rear console to bring the cable into the space under the cup holder in the console. All in all not a difficult installation.[thumbup]
In replacing the door sills, I managed to crush 2 of the bright yellow xmas tree retainers holding the sill onto the carpet. although not visible and the sills are secure, does any one know where I can get replacement xmas tree retainers?
