View Full Version : Pictures of the new Volvo V70
Sorry, Dutch site, but the pictures are international...
Personally, I don't like the back of the car, but I may like the new 3.0L Turbo...

The rear side of the car reminds me of something I have already seen on the road,
a VW Passat break or Opel Vectra perhaps?
I don't like it either :D

The back reminds me of 9-3 SAAB.

Yes, or an Audi break as well! Seems that more and more cars become look-alikes :(

Somehow, the back reminds me of some kind of Mitsubishi wagon

Good link, Thanks.
Exterior styling is nice, but it does not make look forward to buying another one then mine needs to be replaced. Looks like the biggest improvements is with this interior.

I think it looks great. Not a great fan of the tail lights which remind me of a suby forester or the big lights on benz c class of the late 90s, but overall I think it's awesome. I can't wait to see it with the cladding.
THe dashboard, guages and steeringwheel look nice. Stereo looks very disappointing. Given that so many high end cars have large touchscreen displays I would have expected something similar, certainly more than what it looks like (monochrome and 3in by 6in).

Try Subaru Forester

OUCH! That Hurts. I like the looks for the interior but can't say I like the exterior. It will be interesting to see how they set up the XC version and if that helps to give it a more distinctive and aggressive look.

I fail to see any similarities besides the fact that they're both wagons

Looking at those nice smooth side panels I can't help but cringe at what will happen to them in any Los Angeles parking lot.
I can still remember the "mother" who when opening her rear door to extract her kiddie slammed the door into my wife's brand new BMW leaving the first dent. This happened right in front of me. I still feel I should have gotten a free shot at her door. ;-)

I wonder how much the new V70 and new mondeo have in common? Their release dates are suspiciously close together

I like the new V70 from almost every angle, but somehow the rear doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the car. Hope it looks better "in the flesh".
