3 row seat from v70 1998 TO XC70 2003

My friend got a Volvo v70 1998. Is not using the 3rd row seat anymore and I offered him to buy it and switch it in my Volvo XC70 2003.

I know that this is a little tricky to install but will the seat fit in place? Will I be able to make it look like there never been any 3row seat in his car?

I recently had a 3rd seat from a 2002 model installed in my 04 model. I think 2002 is as far back as you can go and have it fit.

2001 thru current, the same

Early car 3rd seats do not fit later cars and vice versa
