The little pockets under the headlights where the wipers emerge were always filled with water during the wet months. They were getting white evaporation rings. It looked bad.
I removed the wipers and drilled a 1/8" hole in the bottom of the pocket, directly under the wiper shaft. This allows the water to drain out immediately. Like little tear ducts. Much better, I don't know why the factory doesn't do that.
To get the hole in the right place, you have to remove the wiper. There is a little plastic cover over knuckle that slides over the base. Pop the cover up. Remove the nut with a 10mm socket. Lift the wiper to outward/perpendicular, and yank. To reinstall, keep the wiper in the perpendicular state, slide onto the shaft, lift the plastic cover, and put the nut on.
