I picked up a set of Volvo Rubber Mats from the dealer yesterday for $88.00. They are thick, pliable and have the holes to attach them to the floor so they don't move around. I was also wondering about water leaking through the holes, but the rubber makes a pretty tight fit like a gasket, so if any does it will be minimal. I do own a set of WeatherTech mats and the Volvo mats are about the same thickness and type of rubber as well. The part I like is the holddowns so they don't move around and they fit perfect and cover more of the carpet then the original mats that came in my XC70.

I really like the rubber mats as well. The only thing I don't care for is the fabric like material on the drivers side mat. Wish they would have made them all rubber like the passangers mat. Still better than the original mats for keeping the car clean though.

Those hold downs are great. I've been in too many other cars where the mats gradually slide forward and start to interfere with pedal movement.

I agree... not sure why they did that... maybe so your foot slips less? But the rubber material is pretty grippy. Was going to switch them in-out for the seasons but may leave in since they look nice as well...

I agree they are great--I would "bet" reason they have hold downs is that by doing that & having a mat that fits--most people would buy ones with the holes. They probably hold up bettter than did the older locker system for rug mats with the twist lock which eventually breaks.

You'd be surprised to see how much water is absorbed by the fabric part of the mat, thus preventing your pants of getting wet. If you live in a region where there's lot of snow (like I do http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif ), the rubber mat turns in a little pool very quickly. Not so evident on the passenger side, since the driver's side is usually occupied more often http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif !

Better price on the mats here:

I also picked up a rubber cargo area liner (for ski boots and stuff) and a tunnel liner (covers the hump in the rear center seat area) here: http://www.volvoworld.com/

Very well designed and form-fitted items. Worth whatever you pay.

Forgot to mention, the cargo tray isn't shown at volvoworld. But I emailed and asked for a price. Can't recall what I paid.

There's a picture of what it looks like here:

They call it a floor protection tray.

That website has great prices. I bought a set of the mats from the dealer and paid about $84 plus tax which was about $90 total. The website was around $66 plus $3 shipping, out the door for around $70.
