I think the car looks great and much better than the previous version.  The interior is a huge improvement.  I don't think I'd like that key design.  The rest of your keys would rattle against the dash rather than hang down.  Unless you can't attach the new switchblade key to a key ring, which would bug me too.
I hope they have made the seats a little better.  I usually end up with an s40 loaner when my xc is in for service so I've gotten to know them pretty well. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif There is a world of difference getting back into the xc after driving the 40.

http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif I think the design is too conservative.  A pity that that the small third windows are not integrated in the back doors like they are on the S60.  This looks more like the much more conservative S80.  I saw pictures in Auto Motor und Sport of the V50.  It looks like a disaster.  Like an old passat...

Wow they really improved the 40 series.  Now if they transfer this new look to the 70 and 80 series... I cant wait. I am trying to imagine what the next XC will look like. I only seen sketches uptill now.

I guess its about time.  Its sort of sad since this new Volvo has certain traits of the older BMW before Chris Bangle was let loose... case in point the new 5 series... I an trying to forget the 7. even the 6 has been butchered...

If most of this makes it in I think Vovlo sales will contine to rise!

I like the key where its shown ... it reduce the lchance of knee injuries in the event of a crash.. which is one of the reasons Saab always put their on the floor!
