I cant seem to find a flaceplate anywhere to get my aftermarket deck installed into my new 99 volvo XC. I was wondering if there is anywhere online I can find a dash kit and harness adapters to buy?

You would need to get a double DIN to single DIN & Cubby shelf to mount in there...no? The opening in the console of the Volvo is large enough for two standard head units (single DIN units), and our OEM radios are double DIN units. So...you would need to the something that would fit in the double DIN space in the console, but have a place for a single DIN radio, and a storage tray/shelf/cubby above or below the single DIN where the new HU is going to be installed.

I hope I didnt just confuse you even more..:(

Rodrigo is right, I have a Panasonic Full-Dot-Matrix display single that I replaced the OEM radio with, and they gave me a 3-4 CD holder to go in the place right under it. That worked out well, because I ran an AUX cable through a hole I drilled in the CD holder (AUX input is located on the back of the deck). I can play my iPod through my stereo and it works great, and I can also plug in anyone else's MP3 Player, as well as a laptop if someone wants to watch a DVD in the car.

ok? that was not my question...

ya, I know its a double DIN, but what kit would I use? just a standard generic double DIN kit from any stereo shop? I have a single DIN HU.
