Has anyone retro-fitted Xenons?

I have a 2004 XC70 with standard setup.

I tried the Sylvania (Bluestars?) something to that effect - both bulbs blew in less than a year and they really had no better effect than OEM bulbs.

Do you mean retrofiited to HID? I have in my XC, just bulb and ballast HID module.

I'd like Xenon headlights - just have regulars.

Is there an upgrade available or do I have to fully remove and replace the system?

I have a 2001 xc70 and i tought about replace my halogen bulbs by a xenon hid kit (without replacing all the lamps and kit by a new 2006 system $$$!). I've replaced - like you - my bulbs by a "xenon look" blue halogen bulbs. I know it will not last really long too...

I dont know if it's good but it seems to fit and simple to install.
