'02 XC70 - rear armrest cup holder?

I was driving a dealer loaner ('06 V70 wagon) while my XC was getting its 60k checkup. The loaner had an rear armrest cupholder that was in easy reach of my 1yr old. Anyone got an idea if this available for my '02 XC?

This topic has been covered before in previous threads and Volvo seems to have changed the rear cupholder/split seat arrangements a number of times over the past several years. :confused:

What type of seat layout do you have? From what I understand, the 60/40 split seats with cupholders come standard on the V70 and base model XC70. To get the rear cupholders, one would have to order an XC without the convenience package.

Replacing 40/20/40 seats for a 40/60 configuration-if it's even possible-just to get rear seat cupholders would be prohibitively expensive. :(

I was facing the same rear cupholder envy as you until I purchased the integrated oem thermal cooler/cupholder that fits neatly between the space normally occupied by the middle seat. Works great since I almost never carry a third passenger in the rear. The only downside is that it’s just available in grey.

I checked into it--prohibitively expensive as Art said.

True, it's not as cool as the armrest cupholder, and your toddler may not easily be able to reach it, but have you discovered this (http://vparts.autowebaccessories.com/store/volvo-xc70-v70-center-armrest-table-prod126_173_953.php)? While you're at it, check out the nice (but pricy) rear seat cooler Art recommended here (http://vparts.autowebaccessories.com/store/volvo-xc70-v70-integrated-cooler-box-prod126_173_1153.php).

I purchased the large armrest/cooler for my 01 but now I got a huge hole gaping into the rear. Easy for a pet to sneek thru. Who can sell me one of these? I think it even has to zipper pockets. I have seen it online before and it was too pricy. Can anybody get me linked up to anybody that sells these?
