Replacement wiper blades - UK

The wiper blades on my '04 XC90 need relacement, so a Halfords trip offered up some Bosche blades.

Wasted journey, as they don't have the right plastic fittings, even though the notes on the display cards state they'll fit :mad:

Anyone know what Volvo charge for theirs, or if Bosche actually do blades for this model?

You might want to check with your Volvo dealr. I noticed that om my new 2006 XC90 they have changed the type of wipers. The new ones are more flexible and do a much better job.

I got a set from Halfords recently, Bosch 24 & 21.

They fitted but the plastic piece that goes round
the swivel point of the blade needed to be taken
off the original blade and used. The piece of plastic
that Bosch provide does not fit.

Halfords are quite expensive. You can get a
set of Bosch blades ( 24 & 21 ) on Ebay for
about £15. Unbranded for about £10.

A lot depends on what type of attachment the wiper arm supports!! the blades I saw on the V50 were attached via a means of a 'pin' on the arm and a hole on the blade. To insert the blade you had to pull the arm right out and push the blade in 'from a reverse angle' making a lo of work of trying to do this. If you have the flat blade wiper system, the arms will not accept the old spring type wiper blade which snap into the arm. The only flat blades that Halford's do are the VW and Porsche blades, (well that was all they had on display last weekend).
