Anyone swap XC instrument cluster with an R one?

Hello guys,

I was just wondering if anyone has done this swap? I've been thinking of this little mod for a while having a Nautic blue XC, I thought it might look good! If someone has, pics would be nice.

Never seen it done, but love the idea. All that blue foil--very sexy!

For that matter I'd love to drop an R engine and manual R transmission in an XC. Has anyone ever done that besides ipd in their AT concept? I suppose doing so would require completely replacing the ECU, or at least completely re-mapping it.

Maybe I should just strive to climb Everest. Sounds more restful.

Apart from getting the new R cluster, you have to drill and install 4 white L.E.D on top of the cluster to shine the light onto the gauges. (R gauges are not backlit) And if I remember correctly, a new D.I.M is also required.
