Headlight Misting

I have a problem on my 2001 XC with the passeger side headlamp assembly misting. The problem occurrs during snowstorms, rain and high humidity events. The lamp assembly eventually clears, but re-occurrs whenever moisture in the atmosphere is present. Volvo offers a Gortex diaphram which is attached by the rear light covers and provides access when replacing the lamps. Apparently the S60 models have this diaphram as a stock item.

Has anyone used these diaphrams before, and do they correct the misting problem?
