Just received my first copy of Volvomagazine. Has some nice pictures of Volvos, and some nice vignettes from the last Ocean Race. There's some other nice looking stuff too.  http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/hehe.gif

Not much XC70 content. The mag is produced in UK for Canadian owners, but I'm assuming there would be a similar publication in other countries??
I wonder if we advertised the xc.com forums, we would attract some new members?

That's the problem with the mag - it looks nice but it's actually empty...  http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

I also received a copy of the same mag last week and couldn't help but notice how it's contents took on a more 'glitzy' appearance compared to the more subdued look of the previous 'VolvoOwner' publication. It was somewhat akin to reading one of those fluff magazines that the airlines tuck away in the backs of the seats. One section of the magazine called 'Castaway' had little or nothing to do with Volvo and more to do with how to survive in style on a deserted island. Talk about a major disappointment. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

Right!! Let's hope they are! You wonder what the rationale is behind this kind of fluff. Are they trying to convince us that we are somehow "better" because we bought a Volvo? Don't they know their customer base? I can't believe that this kind of junk goes down well in Europe either.

I wonder if any of our European friends get this magazine and if the content is the same? Or is it just us saps in North America? http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

For your information, I just came back from Europe and I found a similar mag from Audi to Audi users.  This mag was available at the Air France Lounge, and was similar in content as its Volvo counterpart. I agree with the "airline mag" comment - the info content was close to zero...
Does anybody knows how long has Audi offered this?  I left my copy at the loundge, but I'll try to grab one again next week - I have to go over the pond again.

My business partner drives an Audi A3 and receives the Audi Magazine. 4 Times a year if I'm correct. They started printing the Audi Magazine about 2 years ago.
