What other cars share the garage with your XC?

We're between second cars at this point since we now both work from home. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

We've got an 87 4dr golf that will probably be leaving us shortly.

No second ride as of yet, but, for the longest time, the wife has had her eye on a silver Audi TT. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Our second car is a 2001 Audi TT coupe. The two cars are so different its like a vacation when you switch from one to the other. The XC is our primary winter car, and the tt is our fun summer car.

Here we go:
My 1986 944 Turbo. Just 70K miles and as cherry as can be. This ride is completely stock and does pretty well in local Porsche club car shows.

While shoppping to replace my wifes '99 s70 AWD, I decided to purchase the '02 v70 XC. At the same time we also picked up an '02 s60 AWD for her. I think the salesman took the rest of the month off.

OK, our second (wifes), car is an Audi A2. Very nice little car, I even take it on my 160 mile commute once or twice a week just to keep some of the milage off the XC, I am now up to 50500 miles on it..............

Our other car is a '98 Volvo V70 GLT that has 75,000 miles and runs like a top. Absolutely the best car we have ever owned. Same engine as in the XC, and a major influence on our purchase.

Guess it's a point of view thing . . . the '02 XC IS my second car. First car - the one that gets the garage space - is a '99 Nassau Blue Corvette Coupe. Third car, soon to be dumped, is a '94 Dodge Intrepid SE. Nobody asked but my primary motorcycle, the one that shares the garage with the 'Vette, is a '88 HD FLHTC Electra-Glide Classic (Candy Brandywine).

Well the XC is my first, second and third car http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

I can only love (read - afford in this case http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif ) one car at the time. But since there's no family tagging along... its plenty for me!

Not sure I'd call it my 'second' car because it's the only one I get to drive! Wife gets the 2002 V70 XC. I drive a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe LX AWD. Great car! Rides and handles as well as the XC, peppy and for the price - loaded.

No second car to speak of. I drive a company Ford F-250 Super duty 4X4 Turbodiesel all day and bring it home at night. My wife is the lucky one, she drives the Volvo all day.
How did I let that happen?

Mox-

I can sympathize, I also have a F350 diesel P/U that I drive all week, while my wife cruises along happily in the XC. When my parents come to visit each summer the XC also shares the driveway with a 38' Monoco motor home, thank god its only till August!

Since now I'm living alone the XC is my only car. Maybe next year I'll look for a 'funny' car http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
something like a Miata or a TT or so.

Currently, and thank god not for too much longer a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. That is being replaced with a 2003 C70 convertible that my wife fell in love with when we went to order my 03 XC. The sales person thought we were trying to pull the wool over her eyes when we asked for a better deal if we purchased two Volvos. I am sure she was happy when we signed on the bottom line 2 times for 2 cars

I do not drive but my mum's car is a '99 C70 2.4T 4spd Auto Convertible with the GT pack beige leather and Classic Red (non metalic) with 16" wheels.

My mum loves it and it's very different from the 440Si she had before. My dad's car is the promary car and that's a '03 XC70 D5 SE with beige interior and Nautic Blue Pearl.

My mum's car is garaged and my dad's stays parked on the drive because the second garage is full of stuff.

Wifes car is a 2001.5 VW Passat GLX 4motion, which I got to drive enought to make me get rid of my 97 4Runner. So to get enough space for everything (and our two young children) our 04 XC70 is perfect. Only had it since October but man do I like it!! This forum was key in helping make the decision to splurge on our new ride.

My second car is a 1996 Ford Probe SE with 152,000 miles on it.

This car is mine, as my wife gets the XC. And it no longer gets any garage space. The XC is a bit larger than our previous car, so I'd rather give the XC some extra space rather than trying to squeeze them both in.
