All lights on after shutdown

Twice in the last week our XC has turned all the lights on when we shutdown The headlights, fog lights, courtesy lights under the mirrors were all on. I had the key in my hand. I had not been using the fog lights. I did not touch the yellow button on the remote (which has always been hard to activate anyway)

It has never done this before. There are no messages from the car.

Does anyone know what is going on.

After shutting down the engine, all these will light up if you pull the turn signal as you would to put the high beams on. They will stay on for 30 seconds or so.

That is so neat...I didn't know that feature was there. I am slowly learning more and more about my '01 XC70. After reading your post, I had to check it out. My neighbors must think I've gone crazy in that I did the turn off car, make lights stay on for 30 seconds thing four times. [happy]

Reynald, you are correct that pulling the light stalk lights up everything. I must have inadvertently or unconsciously pulled on it.

Speaking of that! I havn't use that function for a year and an a half. :rolleyes:
