This event is being put on by the golden gate chapter of the vcoa. It should be a fun filled day of meeting up with volvo enthusiasts, driving, and sight seeing in california's wine country. I hope to see some of you there!

The next big event is Saturday September 13. Our Chapter Secretary, Joyce Roberts is setting up this nice driving event. It will be in and around
Sonoma. You can email Joyce at [email protected] with questions or for
directions. Here is what she has planned:

Meet: 10:00 a.m. Vintage Aircraft Company 23982 Arnold Dr. Sonoma.

HA Art Forms (short distance from airport) 23150 Arnold Drive

Artist works with metal & a torch, you'll enjoy seeing very large sculptures
through out the property ... they are so cool

AND THEN:

Sebastiani Winery: tour 389 4th Street, Sonoma

This year marks 99 years for the Sebastiani winery, its been continually
owned and now operated by third and fourth generation of the Sebastiani
family.

Self guided tour starting at the Sonoma Room. Along the way, you will see a mural of the town of Sonoma (commissioned by Michael Wardell), the original Monk's bench, the Sebastiani Winemaking Museum, and their vintage oak carved barrels, as well as local artwork displayed in the gallery.

Fun Fact: Did you know that to remove a red wine stain you should simply
rinse it with white wine?

THEN LUNCH AT

Sonoma Cheese Factory 2 Spain St. (parking around corner, 1st E.)

Come enjoy three generations of cheese making of Sonoma Jack cheeses.
Visitors can watch cheese being made. Full deli, picnic items, wines, and
mail order items are available to visitors. Indoor and outdoor seating is
available. The Factory is known worldwide for its Traditional and Flavored
Jack Cheeses, Teleme and Sonoma Reduced Fat Cheeses. All of their cheeses are available for tasting in their store.

Sonoma Plaza Stroll the park-like Plaza, its the largest of its kind in
California and marks the center of town
