When traveling with my vehicle and the speed reaches 70, there is a buzzing noise coming from the area where the windshield meets the roof line. The noise is an exterior noise that resonates into the cabing.

Has anyone had this issue? Any fix? I have an appointment in December to tackle this issue as well as have the oil cooler campaign addressed.

Noise is from roof rack. There is a fix. Your dealer should be familiar with what to do. It is a common complaint.

Noise could be coming from the gasket under the roof rails that attach to the top of the windshield. The covers have to be removed and a sealant put between the gasket and the base of the rails.

I installed the wing profile xbars provided by volvo including two fork bike carriers (which I believe they are made by Thule) and as soon as I hit 20 mph the noise strats to kick in. It reaches the maximum volume at about 50mph and stays like that at faster speeds. I tried to play moving the xbars back and forth and I reduced the noise a bit but it is really not acceptable. I've been looking for the spoiler to reduce the noise but it won't fit the wing profile. Any advise will be greatly appreciated. I hate that noise.

I was having this same issue from time to time. This has as well been picked up on the Swedespeed forums: http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=51087. To cut a long story short, this was followed also by Volvo TNN84-11. You can find this TNN at:http://www.alldata.com/tsb/Volvo/1133337600000_1138780800000_TNN84-11/index.html
The dealer followed the TNN (installed tape) and my problem was fixed. No no more problems. Don't have crossbars BTW but it is a good thing to follow up on in the event you notice a buzzing noise from the roof area.
