I don't think the fogs lights can be adjusted, they are a fixed beam, the only thing you could do is use a stronger bulb.

There is a thread here -

'Problem is it's from the old forums and none of the pictures have been preserved Grrr:mad: . Such a shame as there were some really useful topics; now in effect sadly lost for ever.

Perhaps if Raynald sees this - or you could PM him, he may be able to help.

However, as the lights are intended to do no more than cast a pool of light (unlike "proper" fogs - as in the days of yore), that they were never intended to be truly adjustable, and you may have to apply a "Birmingham Scredriver"..

I'm glad to be corrected - 'cos I have the same problem:)

Just updated images in this topic (http://volvoxc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=18804#post18804). Thanks TrueBlue.

Fog lights can be ajusted only up and down using the adjusting knob. To access it, using a Torx25 screwdriver (you'll probably find one in you spare tire tool kit as I did), you'll have to remove a screw retaining a small plastic cover underneath each light. You'll have to crawl a little, but it's easy to do. :)

As for their horizontal range, it is so wide that it don't think it would make any noticable difference to have a side knob.

This picture shows the right fog assembly upside down.

Have fun! :D

Merci Raynald. I was out last night and thinking that the fogs are all but useless. If I can get them upwards a bit (like my bi-Xenons) things should improve.

We just moved the clocks back an hour (for Standard Time), so early morning drives to the ski hills will definitely be in the dark for the next few months. Speaking of which, your XC70 must be enjoying itself with the snow you folks have had lately.

Adjusting fog lights upward may be a good idea to improve range, but we should be careful not to point them to high. I'm often blinded by other driver's fog lights who always use them fog or no fog.

Just a thought... http://volvoxc.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif

And John, I was in Montréal last week and it rained while we had 15 cm of snow in the Townships. When I came back in my neck of the woods, the snow had already melted away... We'll have to wait a little more! http://volvoxc.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif
