I am trying to determine the failure rate of the current ETM replacement part being used, 8644347. The NHSTA investigation indicates replacement parts are failing and forum thread have indicated this as well. It is important for those of us with replacement parts to be aware of thier failure rates. I personally was told by the dealer that put it in, "these have been redesigned and are not failing". Maybe these are so new, they have not failed yet. We need some data on this. Please fill out the following poll if you have experience with this part. If you experienced a second ETM failure with a different part, please consider starting an additional poll to gather information on it.
My replacement ETM failed within less than 10,000 miles
