I'm probably taking my 2002 XC on an organized off road trip to Ichthyosaur State Park in Northern Nevada (unless my wife really objects.) The trip is organized by a company that teaches off-road driving techniques to SUV owners. Although you can get a motorhome to the park, this group is going in the 'hard,' way. The hard way is easily conquered by an XC, and far more interesting than the easy way in. It was a fun family trip last year, but since the Rover has been retired, the XC will have to go instead.
