I've noticed that when turning the Spin Control DTSC off that the only way to clear the display readout saying it's turned off is to press the READ button or turn the engine off! Even if the DTSC is turned back on the display reads that it's turned on but again to clear it one must press READ or turn engine off. Of course if DTSC is turned off then when engine shutdown and restarted the DTSC is re-enabled.
Is there some Volvo safety reasoning behind this -- especially when the DTSC has been re-enabled after being disabled and the engine hasn't been turned off in between?
