Anyone know where I can pick up a set of seat covers (for the front seats) that will still allow for the airbag to deploy from the seat but won't cost me my left arm?

I'd like a set 1) for the heat and 2) to preserve the leather.

Thanks!

Try coverking.com. Never tried them, but they claim to be airbag safe.

I'm also looking for seat covers (preferably front & back) to stop mud & water getting inthe wrong places! Volvo offer £20/cover for front seats but these are universal - they aren't car specific (altho they say they are ok with airbags).
Ebay offer a few - not so convinced, & I've seen these http://www.carmats4u.com/Seat-Covers/Heavy-Duty-Seat-Cover/pid,2677,cid,14,product.html

Any suggestions?

Thanks

If you use leather conditioner three to four times a year and a good leather cleaner when necessary, I think the leather seats should remain in good condition.

Because of the airbag concerns I use long towels when I need intermittent protection from salt water and sand. Not a long term solution because it is difficult to secure them or any seat cover without interfering with the air bag deployment.

The ones I've been looking at (non-Volvo, as the only ones volvo do are universal, & I'm not convinced they are airbag friendly) have velcro over the airbags which they say won't stop them deploying.

are the two I'm looking into. Anyone know anything about the force with which an airbag explodes?!?
