I just replaced these front floor mats retainers on my MY'01 V70XC. As you can see on the picture, the bracket has rusted badly.

Replacement part is made entirely of plastic. I hope it'll last longer.

FYI, the darn little thing costs CAD$3.50, but is quite easy to replace.

BTW, I used my recently won Bojo inc. (http://www.volvoxc.com/features/bojo_tools/) kit... Thanks volvoXC.com (... and Art!)

Raynald, those pictures are nice enough to be put into a medical journal.;) White gloves ... carefully crafted contrast with the carpet ... perfect up-close focus ...

I wonder if my Volvo dealer also wears white gloves?:D

Matter of fact, and it's not an urban legend, my mechanic wears blue latex gloves, the garage looks like an OR and prices are just like doctor's fees! :D

Looks pretty ugly. Those with newer vehicles can rest worry free though as Volvo has switched to the all plastic part in their current production.

Yeah, now instead of rusting, they just deform or snap off! Heck, on the Jeep, the floor plugs stay out all summer in case of rain! (-:

What's with the gloves?
