2006 Volvo C70 Details and Photos Released

Volvo Cars of North America, LLC (VCNA) today released the first official photos of the all-new Volvo C70. With its innovative three-piece retractable hardtop, the second generation C70 is a car that offers the best of both worlds. With the top up, it's a sporty coupe with dramatic, head-turning style. With the top stowed below the rear deck, it's an open-air convertible that invites wind-in-the-hair fun and excitement. What makes the all-new C70 even more appealing is that there is room for four people.

I am quite taken by this car and if I had the money would look seriously at buying one. I already have an XC for all round versatility so this would be a great fun car and can seat 4. Giving the UK weather is not that great for a lot of the time a hard top makes a lot of sense.



Downside is price, have heard prices is around £25 GBP no doubt plus a load of extras. Ford Focus CC is coming out soon also with a hard top and that’s what the new S40 / S50 is based on. Understand the C70 is a combination of S40 and S60, have to look closely at what the money buys you. Any Volvo dealers want to send me more details I am all ears!



I wouldn't buy the following, Renault , Peugeot, Opel / Vauxhall Tigra. Like the new MX5 but only 2 seats but then I do have the XC70 if I need to carry stuff and people around!
