I had the IPD sway bars installed on our 2003 T6 last week before a 2,100 road trip and I must say that they are GREAT!
We drove from Portland OR to Los Angeles and back with a side trip to Clear Lake, CA and the car felt like it was ON RAILS. There were some very curvey roads and my family said that they could really feel the difference in lack of body movement with the sway bars installed.
We put about 5,000 miles on the car before the sway bars were put on and the difference is amazing.
Highly recommended!! http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emthup.gif

Dave, your recommendation based on handling is great, but along with your recommendation you should also list the price of the labor to do this installation, as many people may not know how extensive a job this is on a XC90.

The Volvo place I had do it here in Tigard had not done one on the XC90 before (lots of other Volvos though) so they called IPD for an estimate of the time and agreed to charge me only 4 hours labor although it certainly took longer. Plus IPD offered me a 10% discount on the bars so the total was under $700 parts and labor.
Another shop that had done one of them already quoted me $400 labor, but couldn't do it for several weeks...

Sometime being first has its benefits.... http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/biggrin.gif
Generally this will run $750 at a minimum up to 1200 depending on who does it, their rates and what they are willing to estimate.

What shop in Tigard do you use? I really like T Scandia. I've also heard good things about Peters.
edit: Just saw you used Peters on Swedespeed. I haven't seen Crystal Green XC 90 around Tigard. I'll keep an eye out

Peter's is just around the corner from me, and they have provided us great service on our XC. But I have had several years of excellent service from V Shop (formerly MVP), who service both of my Volvos. I frequently park my blue 745t near V Shop and take the bus, knowing it is in good company.

I too haven't see your green XC90 around Tigard yet, but I'll keep an eye out for it. I've got a blue '99XC with red calipers, ipd stickers ahead of the side mirrors, and a VolvoXC.com decal on the back. Frequently seen between Portland and Salem on I-5 driven by my wife. :p But if towing a white sedan racecar on weekends, it is me.

We have had it only since November of last year, my wife is the daily driver, but she lets me drive on the weekends.... and on our recent drive to LA and back.
