Just a quick heads-up for MY2002 and older owners: My car was built in April 2002 and was in the shop this morning for a second instance of the system service message and orange light in the dash.
Once again the same issue - faulty brake pedal sensor. I was told that the regional Volvo technical rep. informed the dealership last week that the sensor had been (design) modified and that my new sensor might only last a few months as they did not yet have the redesigned sensor in stock at the dealership.
So, if you get this message think brake pedal sensor first.
