I am wrestling with paying the $130+ dollars for the factory rubber floor mats vs paying $60+ for aftermarket rubber floor mats.  What I am curious about, do any of the aftermarket manufacturers make their mats to the same floor contours as Volvo does?

If you must ask, I love the mats that came with my XC, but the mud from the jobsites doesn't mix very well with them.

stretch..

Volvo rubber mats are most definitely the way to go... they fit perfectly and the material is excellent. Just don't think you're going to find the same attention to details as witnessed in the OEM Volvo ones.  You might be able to find them for a better price elsewhere too.

Lots more opinion here: http://xc70.com/cgi-bin....er+mats (http://xc70.com/cgi-bin/ib3/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=1;t=797;hl=rubber+mats)

Coastal's right Stretch. The O.E.M. heavy duty rubber mats are excellent. Plus I think you'd be hard pressed to find better custom fitted ones. Those plastic attachment posts that stick out from under the floor upholstery are there for a reason. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Some pretty reasonable prices on floor trays at this link. (http://www.volvopartsworld.com/volpartpage13.htm#Rubber%20Floor%20Mats)

Thanks guys,

I'm off to my dealer to order them tomorrow.  I followed the link to the previous link and found that I missed the 20% discount offered by Volvo.  Oh well, better times ahead.

On the subject of floor mats, has anyone else had issues with the circular "grommets" in the factory carpeted floor mats?  Ours keep popping off!

I complained to my service writer about the grommets popping off and the fact that there were a couple of loose threads at the edges of the mats. The dealership (Don Byer Volvo, Falls Church VA) replaced the mats. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I bought the Volvo rubber floor mats and the rear cargo mat.  They look great.  They look so good that I almost want to keep them in there full time.  I used them when we went to the cabin over the holidays.  They worked great for keeping the wet, dirty ski boots and melting snow out of my carpets.
I take them out for when we are home.  If we go to the mountains, then I put the mats in.

I just bought the Volvo rubber floor mats and they are really great. Awesome quality. My dealer sold them to me for less than $100. Here's a link though to get the dealer mats and the mats only cost $67.

Well, the factory mats are in the car and I am very happy with them.  Seems that my dealer, Mt. Kisco Volvo, charges $85 for them.  Not much more than what I found on the web.  The dealer also threw in the coin holder I ordered when I picked up the car for free, and included installation.

Seems there are dealers out there that are interested in making their customers happy before they think about the almighty dollar. http://xc70.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
