DIM shows "1040 kms to empty tank"!!!!

Wow, I was amazed at the display I was getting while crusing at 60km/h on the expressway. By the time I got out of my office at the end of the day with the Digi Cam, I only snapped a shot showing "1000 kms to empty tank".
but still amazing nevetheless.
This is the first time in over 2 years of ownership that I saw this.
I guess I have always been driving the XC too hard... :D

I think he was shaking because of hope that life was better than it appeared. :D

I always wonder how accurate the DIM is on the Volvo.

The only time when I get above 1000km on the DIM was with my S60. Unfortunately I still have not seen that in my XC70 yet. :(

Sorry to say, but the display on my D5 Geartronic regularly shows more then 1000 kilometers left on the tank after refuelling. In fact, my record stands at 1070 kilometers.

I wonder whether my record was broken by any other XC70 owner. Any competition out there?

Look at his details, ifnt420 drives 2.4T (petrol). A D5 diesel is an other story.

Ahh...Now i know why I can never reach 1000km to empty tank! :o

Mine is a 2.5T and Ifnt420 is a 2.4T. But does 100 cc make so much difference in milage?! :confused:

hi, my D5 shows 600 miles regularly after fill up, close to 1000k, then I spoil it by using the right foot for doing what a right foot shoot do, rest on the metal
