New Exhaust System!

Hey Guys,

Just a quick question with exhaust systems.  I have seen a lot of the Japanese Xcer's convert their exhaust system in the Japanese XC sites.  I think most of them have Heico exhaust systems installed.  Is there a big power gain with the new performance exhaust system.  Also if I do decide to get a new exhaust system will it void my warranty.

Without doing any digging for the information specs, I recall maybe a 3-10 HP gain over the factory. That is what IPD seeems to be reporting over their gain with the ECU upgrade.

Most modern exhaust systems on European cars are so effective from the factory that you can't really get a gain from changing them out.

What you do gainis a much more mellow exhaust note.

And your warranty.....well it depends on the dealer. Technically no, and you can go round and round about this one. But I doubt they would care much. It has no bearing on the rest of the drivetrain and cannot be linked to any other failure in that system.
