I just purchased a 2005 XC70 and was wondering if it has the same hidden menu as the HU-613...I really don't want to shell out $1500+ for an upgrade and would like to try tweaking my existing system first. Any help anyone can provide would be GREATLY appreciated.

BTW, this forum is GREAT. Thanks to whomever started it.

I was wondering the same thing once I saw the hidden menu thing for the 613 while looking around on this site. Did you ever find anything? Thanks in advance.

The HU-650 doesn't have the same hidden menu as the HU-613 unfortunately.

Yes, it is missing the hidden menu, although you can control the mid range through the menu option, which is better than nothing.
...I think the 650 is a big step backwards from the 613. The sound quality is worse, too. I'm likely going to upgrade the factory speakers soon.

Dang! Thanks for the response. I agree with littlewaywelt that the radio isn't the best in the entire world. Howabout this: is there any way to access the satellite radio (factory installed Sirius) besides scrolling through the FM and AM bands? Can you reprogram the Auto button for example?

In theory it would be possible through an edit to the registry in the computer. Can that be accomplished without extreme difficulty? I doubt it.
