premium sound display problem

hello, and thanks in advance for any help.
I just received a 2005 xc90 TItanium grey T6, and am having a problem with the premium sound display, in fact, I am unable to see the display at all. When I took delivery I know that the display was functioning and the next time I started the vehicle it was black. The radio /cd functions but there is no display, I could not find any mention of being able to disable or darken the display. My guesses are defective LED, less likely fuse any help would be greatly appreciated

Ummm, Your bio doesn't show where in the World you are, so I have to make assumptions.

Were you wearing polarised shades (sunglasses) at the time? I can't see anything on the ICE display when I'm wearing them. It's not obvious - but worth a suggestion..
