upgrading the audio in '01 XC70

Just bought my XC70 but would like to upgrade the audio. My factory sound system does not even have a cd player. Any suggestions for what combinations of cd player, sat radio, amplifiers, and speakers work well in this car. Installation pitfalls to avoid? Where to store the amps if I don't want them taking up cargo space in the hatch area? Chicago area audio installers that are recommended?

Just a friendly suggestion here, but you may want to post this thread over in the 2001+ XC70 forum to elicit more responses to your question. :)

To get you started off on the right foot, here’s a link (http://www.swedespeed.com/news/publish/Features/article_147.html) that might be of interest to you. Not sure if this is what you meant by upgrades, but it certainly does give you an idea of what’s possible. :)

Also, using the search function may enable you to find out more about what mods others have done to their audio systems.
