Alarm module question

I have 2015 xc60 t6 with "alarm service required" message on dash. My dealer diagnosed it as alarm module issue with a quote of about $650. As far as I understand those modules needs to be programmed by vin and no longer plug and play as old 01-07 xc70 were. Anyone else has any updates about possible rebuild service or opportunity to program the unit outside of dice unit?

Spoke with my local dealer tech and he was kind to inform me that alarm modules are not required to be activated via Dice unit. Ordered new unit from Tasca and when it will arrive will update on progress.

Update- alarm was plug and play instalation. No need to reprogram anything. Entire job took about 1.5 hours and that's not rushing anywhere. Please remember to disconnect battery prior to changing the unit.
