Transmission 2002 -> 2008 XC?

Hello all,

I know this is a long shot, but I didn't see the harm in asking. I have a 2002 XC 70 with some issues (ABS, SRS) but a good engine and trans. I have a friend with a 2008 XC 70 with a great body and engine, but a bad trans. I know 2008 was a new model year so again, this seems like a long shot, but it's still a T5. Can I get someone to replace the trans in the 2008 with the good trans from my 2002?

I went to the IPDUSA.com Volvo parts website, and determined these transmission IDs:

2002 XC70: AW55-5X AWD

2008 XC70: TF-80SC FWD or TF-80SC AWD

You might read up on what a Valve-Body replacement could do to restore the 2008 tranny.
